ulie Breathnach- Banwaitis a bilingual poet, a visual artist, a chartered psychologist and member of the Tinteán Editorial Collective. She is originally from Ceantar na nOileán, County Galway, and has lived in Australia for over a decade. She has had two poetry books published in the Irish language by Coiscéim in Dublin, Dánta Póca (Pocket Poems) in 2020 and Ar thóir gach ní (In search of everything) in 2022. She is also the author of Cnámha Scoilte/Split Bones and has co-authored a bilingual poetry book called Ó Chréanna Eile/From Other Earths, with the Australian Irish language poet and writer, Colin Ryan.   
      She has had articles and poetry published in The Irish Times, and in various anthologies in Ireland, Australia and in the US such as The Waxed Lemon, Poetry Ireland Review, Channel Lit Mag, Howl New Irish Writing, Trasna Literary Magazine, Crossways Literary MagazineIris ComharFeasta, Iris Aneas (Munster Literature Centre), An GaelAn Lúibín and in The Galway Review. Her poetry has been included in Bone and Marrow / Cnámh agus Smior: An Anthology of Irish Poetry from Medieval to Modern (Wake Forest University Press) as well as in Washing Windows V: Women Revolutionise Irish poetry, 1975-2025 (Arlen House, Dublin). More recently her prose poetry has appeared in the international journal The Mackinaw: a journal of prose poetry.
